Home Caring Rockhampton’s SIL homes are a wonderful way to embrace independent living while having all the support you need for daily life.

We have two spacious homes for NDIS participants who are eligible for SIL (Supported Independent Living. Located in the peaceful suburb of Norman Gardens, these comfortable contemporary residences offer shared Supported Independent Living with a 24/7 sleepover model.

Our Location

Norman Gardens is a peaceful but growing residential area with a new shopping and medical precinct, and plenty of recreational places. Our homes are located close to public transport for easy access to shops, restaurants, services and medical facilities. You’ll also be just a short distance from central Rockhampton, with everything you need for daily life close by.

Home Caring Rockhampton’s SIL team is a mix of friendly and supportive female and male care professionals. We provide compassionate support that truly empowers you to reach your goals, be an active part of the community, and get the most out of life. We’ll also work with you to create tailored support plan, providing personalised support to help you live independently.

What is Supported Independent Living (SIL)?

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is a type of support provided through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in Australia. SIL helps participants live more independently within their chosen accommodation through help with daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, personal care, and participating in the community. You can access SIL whether you live on your own, at home with your family, or in shared accommodation with other NDIS participants.

SIL aims to empower people with disability to live their lives with as much autonomy and dignity as possible, while still receiving the necessary support tailored to their specific needs.
